Ruth Kim held a judicial clerkship under the tutelage of the Honorable Richard C. Camp, J.S.C., Superior Court of New Jersey, Chancery Division, Family Part, Essex County.  Ruth obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2000 and graduated from Seton Hall Law School in May of 2006.  During law school, Ruth participated as an advocate for the Family Law Clinic.  Ruth is a Member of the American Bar Association, the New Jersey State Bar Association, the Barry I. Croland Northern New Jersey Family Law Inns of Court, the Asian/Pacific American Lawyers Association of New Jersey and the Essex County Bar Association.  She also serves as an active member of the Young Lawyer’s Subcommittee (“YLS”) of the Family Law Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association and is certainly serving as Co-Chair of the YLS for 2011-12. 

Ruth was recently selected for inclusion on the 2011 New Jersey Rising Stars list, featuring outstanding young lawyers in the state of New Jersey. 

Prior to joining Lum, Drasco & Positan, LLC, Ruth was an associate at Skoloff & Wolfe, P.C., where she devoted her practice exclusively to the areas of family law and matrimonial law.
