Wayne J Positan has served as a member of the Governor Chris Christie Transition Team as a member of the Subcommittee on the Division of Law and Public Safety. Positan reviewed and was involved in the preparation of reports and recommendations to the new Governor regarding the Division of Law; the Division on Civil Rights, and the State Athletic Commission
Wayne J. Positan was selected to teach two courses at the Judicial College for New Jersey judges on November 24, 2009, along with Moderator Nancy Erika Smith of Smith Mullin, and panelists Judge Dennis Carey (Essex), Judge Rachelle Harz (Bergen), Neil Mullin of Smith Mullin, and Eric Schwimmer, Vice President and Chief of Legal Resources/Human Relations of Prudential Insurance Company. The courses were the NJ Law Against Discrimination and CEPA (Whisteblower) Litigation.

This award is the highest honor that the Boston University College and Graduate School of Arts & Sciences bestows upon its alumni to recognize extraordinary accomplishments in their professions, communities, or service to Boston University.
